A few pictures and plans of a recently installed garden design project in Greenfield Saddleworth, with  the front garden lending stunning views of the Peak District. What was once a an unused lawn area is now transformed into a dwarf pine river bed garden with small terrace to accommodate a table and chairs.  The cobble base of this new dry river bed garden is planted with a variety of creeping and flowering shrubs along with the ubiquitous dwarf pines. These should grow and spread nicely over the coming years providing a relaxing spot to sit and enjoy the stunning views afforded of the Peaks. The back garden is now also transformed, and pictures of this will be included in the next update. A new fern garden was also created and the area can be seen in picture with new steps and wall leading to timber screen and bespoke metal fence, inspired by the fern garden, and created specially for the project by David Freedman, a truly gifted artisan blacksmith/sculptor.
